Illusion of lost love
Most times our memory of love is a love sweeter than it’s reality. But that’s what love does it hopes, and creates these images of perfection, so when you think back on it you never remember how painful it was for you to crawl out of there. All you remember is the pretty moments you have framed.❤️We need to let go, God doesn’t pour new wine into old wine skins.
Our song
There’s always that one song that brings more memories than it needs to. Love is such a funny thing, it has us attaching all these complex emotions to inanimate things ❤️
Psalms 51:1-13
This is a repentant prayer David makes after some bad choices. While he can’t change his actions, he can change his heart, he says “create in me a pure heart LORD” and that’s what repentance is. It’s going back to the cross and saying Lord I can’t change what I’ve done but please change ME so I don’t do it again.❤️So if you’re in a season of waiting for assurance, restoration. This Psalm is for y
His eyes
This poem has no resolution. No happy ending, no philosophical summaries, no ted talks.. we just feeling what we feel and that’s that
Bitter
No words for this one except love shouldn’t feel like this
My Beloved:Love Letters to My Lord
“Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering” Isaiah 53:4. One thing for certain he will carry your cross, one thing for certain Christ will always carry the burden for you. My beloved, I could lasso the sun and hand it to you, I could rearrange the stars to spell out your name but I could never love you how God loves you. As we close off the year, let’s thank Christ for taking our pain.
Lot’s wife
I have spent a good chunk of this year wollowing, and wilting. I was so stuck in the past, keeping tally of people who have hurt me. Refusing to move from that space and trusting Christ, I didn’t trust him as my shepherd. So I remained in the same spot, turning into a pillar of salt. This new year may we build the muscle of faith, that what God has in store surpasses anything my simple mind could
When love comes
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”Romans 8:25If you’re waiting for your Love just take a breath and be patient. Do not awaken love until the time is right, when Love comes it will be in Gods divine and perfect timing, it will be effortless, it wont bring confusion, it wont bring hurt. Love never fails, hold onto that hope of finding it
The Comeback
One thing is that they always come back. But we stand firm in our decision, we trust that God only has better in store for us. Most importantly we NEVER go back to things God has removed us from.
Differences
I think its time we learnt how to choose people who see love the same way as us. Teach your feet to leave when love isn’t reciprocated.
The Learning curve
Learning curves require learning a new skill, who would have thought that skill is to simply exist in Gods peace. Its so easy to use it as a novelty, something we post on our stories and not a conscious decision we make with every breath.
Just like that..
We search endlessly for love, unfortunately it has to be the one that finds us. The moment we stop looking there she is popping up out of nowhere.
Psalms 42
Today we unwrap what it means to thirst for God while your soul is burdened. In Psalms42 King David says to “My tears have been my food day and night” he goes on to paint this picture of agony and being downcast. But he encloses it with the fact that he will continue to put his hope in God. That in our sadness it is when we are thirsty for God. So this poem is all about yearning for God in the mid
Destruction
How does one learn how to exist within peace, when all you've known is destruction. At some point we have to realise that we've operating through trauma; its time to deconstruct that and learn how to live a life that isnt constanly on fire.
An Ode to my King
One of a million letters and prayers I write to God, it’s okay to sometimes lose our way. But Christ will always find us and we go back, you are the one sheep he left the hundreds for. Thank you for your support once again
Nostalgia
I thought I had shared this poem, I hope it’s not 8 months too late. I pray it reaches the ears that need it the most. Thank you to your support you make my dreams possible
Letting you go
Today we learn how to let go of expired versions of ourselves, we are stronger, and we love ourselves a whole lot more.
You’re all I’ve loved
Love is beautiful, amidst all the pain keep pursuing it. It will find you, and when it does hold on tight.
The hardest part
Honestly the hardest part is leaving, understanding when your love is no longer needed is your biggest strength.
Sweet Love
This poem is for “the one who got away” or those of us in love or for those of us who envision a love like this and cling onto the hope of finding it one day.
When Love Runs Out
Can we reach a point where we begin to unlove someone.?
Does it end?
This poem is for when life is lifing. When you can’t see a way out of your pain, days that are heavy. This poem is for those of us who keep fighting.
Our love story
This is for those looking for love and those who have found it. A reminder that it’s okay to dream of the day you find love, or dream about a time you had it. Whether the love is past, present or future; the story remains just as beautiful
Over You ?
Is there a bullet proof way to get over someone ? Seems the harder we try the harder they stick, the harder it is to remove them.
Toxic Cycles
Letting go is definitely the hard part. Removing yourself from toxic cycles and learning how to stop going back where we aren’t wanted. This poem is for those of us who need to learn how to start choosing ourselves
Dear Adonai #1
One of my many letters to God. This poem is for those of us who need a reminder that God is listening, that our tears are not falling on deaf ears. That when we have no strength he can bare the weight.
Glad You’re Gone
Sweet reminder that we have to be honest and true with ourselves when someone’s absence is more peaceful than their presence. The love may remain but we are better apart than together.
Strong
Strength can be depleting. We can run out and tap out, reach a point where strength isn’t what carries us but what pulls us down. This poem is for those of us who have no strength left who need a break.
Dear Loml
A sweet letter for the future love of your life. Takes a while to meet them but the wait is worth it.
I want to love you
This is poem that explores the fears of loving someone, it takes so much to open ourselves up and stop running.
What we could’ve been
When it’s all said and done all we can do is wonder if the ending could’ve been different. Background music: Tanerélle Mama Saturn
How you make me feel
This isn’t a giddy “you make me feel like walking on sunshine” kinda feeling. It’s a “my mind is scrambled and this relationship confuses me” kind of feeling. Background music: Drake “From time” Piano cover by Legend music on YouTube
Funny how we’re strangers
Life works in strange cycles, one moment we are absolutely in love and share every second of our lives together the next we haven’t spoken in ages and are merely spectators in each others lives
What does love feel like?
This poem is honestly just a sweet reminder that we all need love and never deprive yourself of such a beautiful thing. For video version go to my youtube channel "Reneilwe Moeng" https://youtu.be/__FvHoMezfs
