Metro FM is South Africa's number 1 urban radio station, owned by the SABC. Broadcasting since 1986, it plays R&B, Hip Hop, Kwaito, House and Contemporary Jazz, targeting youthful urban adults. The station is based in Johannesburg and broadcasts nationwide on FM Stereo and DStv Channel 801.
