RISE fm is the only commercial radio station in Mpumalanga, broadcasting from Mbombela on 94.3 FM with additional frequencies across the province (89.0–106.4 MHz). It offers a mix of music, news, talk and sport aimed at an adult audience aged 25–49. Launched in 2007 as MPowerFM, the station was rebranded as RISE fm in 2013 after being acquired by Times Media Group (now Arena Holdings).
