Stixx 100% Production Mix
Stixx, is an Amapiano producer who hails from Kwa-Thema and Selcourt in the East Rand. Born in 2003 into a family of singers and instrumentalists, Stixx has always been surrounded by music. Young Stixx first picked up drumsticks at the tender age of two and has never looked back. By 2015, the multi-instrumentalist ventured into producing deep house and gospel music. Before pivoting to Amapiano in late 2020, he also explored Afrosoul, neo-soul, and R&B.
His independently released 2021 EP Ngeke Balunge introduced the world to his creative abilities. For most of 2022, the wunderkind honed his skills by attending studio camps, where he impressed with his talent and work ethic. One of his biggest early breakthroughs came when DBN Gogo offered him open access to her studios—eventually signing him to her label, Zikode Records. Under the imprint, he released his debut single Buya, and earned production credits on Venom & Shishiliza's LOVE IS PAIN.
It’s Stixx’s soulful, textured contributions to DBN Gogo's Whats Real and Kelvin Momo's Amukelani that truly turned heads and showcased his signature sound. He has since collaborated with some of the genre’s biggest names, including Kelvin Momo and Kabza De Small, proving himself a creative force to be reckoned with.
Now fully independent, Stixx has launched his own label, Stixx House Music, which will serve as a platform to further his vision, expand his sonic identity, and continue pushing the boundaries of Amapiano. With his foundation laid and a clear path forward, Stixx is poised to be one of the defining sounds of his generation.
